Also, it has had the all-important mic preamp update! A certified Roland technician performed this update. The pre's now sound fantastic!! This was a major upgrade that few 2480 owners (especially here on ebay!) took advantage of! It includes a 30 gig hard drive (which is removable if you want to go bigger!) and an external CDRW, which functions flawlessly with the unit. Also, I'm including an additional VS8F2 effects card already installed (for a total of 2.) The effects one these cards are amazing! There are still 2 more empty slots for additional cards. Roland just announced a new effects card that supports third party plug-ins! I have every single manual for the VS including the coveted "wire bound" manual. This was not translated from Japanese as most Roland manuals are. This was written by the Roland technicians in California, and is incredibly easy to understand!
